Rodney Ryan Morgan Sr, age 55 of Austin, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at his home.
Rodney was born Nov. 3, 1953 to Raymond and Doris (Stowers) Morgan in Modesto, Calif. where he grew up and graduated from Modesto High School in 1972. Rod worked as a drywall hanger at theGonga Building in Rochester, Minn. He married Peggy Ann Hoe on Aug. 3, 1985 in Lake Tahoe,Nev. They made their home in Modesto, California until 2000, when they moved to Austin,Minnesota. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hanging out with the Ninth Street Gang.
Survivors include his wife: Peggy Morgan, Austin, Minn.; daughters: Jennifer Sanchez, Sonoma, Calif., Jessica Morgan, Bend, Ore.; son: Rodney Morgan, Jr., Austin, Minn.; brother: Randall Morgan, Modesto, Calif.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Ray; an infant son, Jeffrey; infant sister, Merilee Morgan.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment is at Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery, rural Austin. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
