Nancy Wallem-Steinbach, 48, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 after a battle with cancer.
She was born May 28, 1961 to Harry and Ruth Wallem of Austin.
Nancy worked as a program coordinator for REM for 28 years and as a first responder with the Dexter Fire Department.
Nancy was a beautiful sister and her greatest loves were her nieces and nephews, her cats and horses and her many, many special friends.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Susan Barley, and husband, George; nephews, Jeffrey and Jeremy; brothers, Andrew Wallem and fiancee, Sara Horter; nieces, Devyn and Emily; and Harry Wallem Junior and wife, Lisa.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Dexter, 230 Pleasant St.
