Gary Lee Ryerson, 44, of Annapolis, Mo., formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 in St. Louis, Mo.  
Gary was born Dec. 11, 1964 to Paul L. and Carol Dee (Hickman) Ryerson in Britt, Iowa.  Gary grew up in Austin and married Becky Smith on July 21, 1990 in Albert Lea.  He worked at Quality Pork Products for more than eight years, for Tandem in Blooming Prairie for two years and most recently as a machine operator at Spartex Plastics in Cape Girardeau, Mo. 
He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.  Gary will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Ryerson, Austin; his father, Paul Ryerson, Scott City, Mo.; six grandchildren: Felisha, Tyler, Devin Lee, Alex, Sky and Tiffany; sister, Sheryl Battin, Austin; two nieces, Cassandra Battin and Haley Battin, all of Austin; grandmother, Ruvella (Harry) Barnd of Mason City, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Heidi (Allen) Haskin, Austin, and Teresa (Haven) Dolph, Austin; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, and one granddaughter, Jessica.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dan Kahl officiating.  Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.  Interment is at Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Cemetery, rural London.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
