Motorists will encounter single lane traffic on Eighth Avenue Northeast in Austin Tuesday as Minnesota Department of Transportation crews begin preliminary site preparation for replacing the south side culvert on the Interstate 90 Dobbins Creek Bridge.

Traffic on Eighth Avenue Northeast will be controlled by flaggers, and the bike path adjacent to the road will be closed. Both the road and bike path will be open again beginning Wednesday, Aug.12, weather permitting.

The Dobbins Creek Bridge is one of four bridge replacements included in the “Bridges of Mower County” project, which is partially funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
