Dale Enright

Dale Edward Enright, 83, of Austin, died Aug. 27, 2009 at the Austin Medical Center in Austin.
He was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Rose Creek to Emmit and Molly (Schumacher) Enright.
Dale attended Austin High School until he was drafted in 1943, halfway through his senior year.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  After the war, Dale graduated from Austin Junior Community College.  On Aug. 20, 1950, Dale married Louise Otto at Trinity Lutheran Church in Claire City, S.D. He worked at Hormel Foods until his retirement in 1985. Dale was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Dale is survived by his wife Louise Enright, Austin; sons, Wayne (Judy) Enright, Austin, Robert (Sara) Enright, St. Michael, Minn.; daughter, Jean (Shawn) Gottsman, Bagley, Minn.; grandchildren, Chad Enright, Anna Enright, Jon Gottsman, David Gottsman;  great grandson, Keegan Enright; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Thomas Ogilvie Officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin with Austin Post No. 91, American Legion and Olaf B. Damm Post No. 1216 Veterans of Foreign Wars in charge of Military Rites. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
