Charles “Chuck” Clayton Marsden
Charles “Chuck” Clayton Marsden was born Nov. 10, 1943 in Austin to Charles L. and Verlett (Mork) Marsden. He died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 at Comforcare Care Center in Austin.
He marrieed Janet Kay Stark in Austin. He served three years in the U.S. Army and 32 years working for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Churck enjoyed bike riding, walking in the woods and along the railroad tracks. He collected knives and old razors. He spent most of his life living in Oakland, Minn. with the last 3 1/2 years as a resident of Comforcare Care Center.
Chuck is survived by his wife Janet, Oakland, Minn.; son, Michael Marsden, Rochester; grandson, Allen Marsden, Milaca, Minn.; two brothers, Ronald Marsden and Douglas Marsden, Austin; mother-in-law, Louisa Stark, sister-in-law, Janice (Hank) Berg; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Judy) Stark and Jim Stark all of Milaca; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at Mayer Funeral Home with Theresa Turnbull officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at Mayer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
