An Austin woman was arrested Monday night for leaving the scene of a three-car accident.

According to police, the woman, 26, was driving a black truck with a friend that struck two other vehicles near Fifth Avenue and Eighth Street Northeast. Police were called to the scene and reported no major injuries. The woman’s friend told police that she had left the scene.

Police tracked the woman to her house on 908 Fourth St. SE. She smelled of alcohol when police confronted her, according to a report, and she said she had been told to leave the crash site. She did not report any injuries.

The report did not indicate exactly why the three cars crashed. Charges have yet to be filed.
