Construction is underway on a former yoga and martial arts studio that will become an insurance and accounting office, hopefully by Aug. 1, the owner said.

The building is on Fourth Avenue Northeast, near the Paramount Theatre and the Tendermaid, and is receiving funding through the Main Street Project.

Sarah Douty, project coordinator, said a $47,800 loan is going toward exterior work, which will give the building a more classic, downtown real-estate look. Owner Karen Benson and her husband, Jim, are slated to move in. Karen Benson will run an accounting service, while Jim Benson will do insurance work. He currently has an insurance office on South Main Street.
