James “Jim” E. Johnson, 57
James “Jim” E. Johnson, 57, of Austin, died May 6, 2009 at his home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1951 to Charles E. Johnson and Madelyn (Smith) Johnson. He attended Austin High School and graduated in 1970. Shortly after graduation, he married Donna Delany in August of 1971.  In 1972, Kristy Kay was born. Several years later they divorced.
He worked for Austin Dairy, Austin Bowl, Viracon and Hormel as a salesman. At a young age he enjoyed swimming, riding his and Jerry’s favorite horse “Buck” in the saddle club shows, hanging out with friends and he always looked forward to the family reunions every year. He was a hard worker with a heart of gold. He loved all animals, especially goats and geese.
 Survivors include his daughter, Kristy Kay Bidermen and family; son, Jermey Gilbert; one grandson; one granddaughter; Parents, Charles E. Johnson, Madelyn Gilbertson and Nancy Johnson;  siblings, Gerald A. Johnson, Cheryl (Michael) Nelson, Linda (Larry) Barclay, Gail (Dan) Nasby, Bobbie Jo (David) Utzka, Renae (Michael) Holzapfel, Wayne Gilbertson, Walter (Carol) Gilbertson, very special uncle, Arnie Johnson, Aunt Vlasta, Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister, Chris (Gilbertson) Shocker; uncles, Dale and Burnett; aunts, Betty and Norma.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at Clasen-Jordan Chapel with the Reverend Shari Mason officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary.
