The Mower County Planning Commission on Tuesday unanimously passed two conditional use permits for small businesses.

Y Waste Removal, a two-brother venture, had its application accepted after it was tabled during the commission’s last meeting on April 28. The permit would allow James and David Yerhart to use the property to store and operate waste removal equipment in Lyle Township. The two said the site wouldn’t be used for actual waste storage.

Also passing Tuesday was a renewal for Wallace Bustad to continue using his Lansing Township land to demolish and store concrete and other materials.

The two permits are scheduled to come before the Mower County Board of Commissioners for action on June 2.
