Komets beat Hayfield 14-6

The Hayfield baseball team fell to Kasson/Mantorville (7-1 overall) by a score of 14-6 at home Tuesday.

“They play good defense and they hit the ball well,” Hayfield head coach Craig Selk said of K/M.

Ben Pollock took the loss for the Vikings (3-4 overall), going six innings while allowing 11 hits, five walks, 14 runs (10 earned) and striking out six.

Pollock was three-for-three at the plate with two runs and Evan Bungum was two-for-four with two runs.
