Eugene Anderson will host the 2009 Breakfast on the Farm event sponsored by the Mower County Farm Bureau.

Serving takes place from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 30.

Visitors will enjoy a country breakfast served by Christ Cakes, educational displays and activities for children.

The cost is $3 per person or $12 for families.

This is the second time in the short history of the Mower County Farm Bureau event that Anderson, a dairy farmer, has hosted the event. His farm is located at 30111 620th Ave., rural Waltham.

Last year, Lynn and Jane Sathre, rural Adams, hosted the event and the year before, it was Roger and Lori Read, rural Lyle, who hosted the event.

Ron Frank is the president of the Mower County Farm Bureau.
