For the second straight contest, the Blooming Prairie baseball team won on it’s last at-bat of the game.

The Awesome Blossoms (4-0 overall, 2-0 Gopher) walked off with a 12-11 win over Faribault Bethlehem Academy Monday in BP.

After BP trailed 11-9, it won it in the bottom of the seventh when Aaron Krejci belted a deep single to score Austin Moe to end the game. Moe had tripled in Josh Toquam and Matt Zellmer to tie the game.

“We’re trying to make our games exciting, I guess,” BP head coach Chris Staloch said.

Things looked rough for BP in the opening frame when B.A. (2-1 overall) scored six unearned runs in the top of the first.

“Our kids love to battle and they love to compete. But we’ve got to come out focused and cut back on the errors,” Staloch said.

BP had just six hits, but two of those were homers as Moe had a solo shot in the fifth and Zellmer hit a two-run blast in the sixth.
