The City of Austin will hold its 2009 Volunteer Recognition Night ceremonies Thursday, April 16.

The events begin at 5:30 p.m. April 16 in Ruby Rupner Auditorium at the J.C. Hormel Nature Center.

The City of Austin will be joined by the Austin Library Board and Friends of the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center in recognizing those volunteers who impact on the city’s future by strengthening and inspiring the community.

One volunteer will be recognized as the 2008 Volunteer of the Year.

Austin Mayor Tom Stiehm will host the evening’s events.

Larry Dolphin and Alex Watson will present the program.
