A Hayfield sophomore was recently projected to be among the state’s elite setters next season. 

Viking setter Molly Streightiff was ranked in the Breakdown, Volleyball’s premier publication, when announced its top player lists for the 2009 season.  The book identifies 70 seniors, 50 juniors and 40 underclassmen as players to watch in the upcoming season.

Streightiff, an HVL All-Conference setter, was named to the Junior class list.  Streightiff has been a two-year starter for the Vikings. Last season she recorded 512 assists, 135 kills, 45 solo blocks, 29 aces and 140 digs.
