The 2009 Austin Community Pride Day will be held Saturday, April 25.

Volunteers will work 9 a.m. to noon, picking up debris left behind from winter along the city’s recreation trails and in parks and other public places.

Teams of volunteers will be assigned specific areas to clean-up.

A brief meeting will be held at the Austin Municipal Swimming Pool parking lot prior to the clean-up blitz April 25.

More details will be announced after the organizing committee meets again to decide the details of the Austin Community Pride Day activities.

More information will be made available by the Austin Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department as it becomes available.

All citizens are encouraged to get involved in their own neighborhoods.
