AMC to host baby-parents class

Do you want to spend quality time with you baby using fun games, songs and activities that highlight important development skills?

Austin Medical Center is offering a “Sign, Say and Play” six-week class designed especially for parents and their babies beginning April 14 at 6 p.m. and every Tuesday through May 19, in the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center in the lower level of the medical center .

Michelle Soukup, certified speech-language pathologist at Austin Medical Center, will be teaching the six-session class, which will provide you with:

Opportunity to meet and spend time with friends

In-depth understanding of Baby Signs Program

Easy ways to learn and practice signs

Fun activities to stimulate growth in your baby’s motor, language, social, cognitive, literacy and emotional development

The cost is $60, which includes the registration fee, a “Sign, Say & Play” starter kit featuring BeeBo’s Play Pack, a DVD, two board books, music CD and songbook and a quick reference guide.
