The Hayfield girls basketball knocked off Winona Cotter 46-42 in Hayfield Tuesday.

The Vikings (15-5 overall, 9-3 HVL) out-rebounded Cotter 36-17 as Kiley Severson led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Hayfield slowed down Cotter (17-3 overall).

“It’s a big win for us,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “We came out and played good half court zone defense and made them take some tough shots.”
