Pamela Christine Engels, age 40, of Austin, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at her home after fighting a lengthy illness of 37 years.
Pam was born Dec. 1, 1968 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Paul and Carole (Huber) Engels. Her greatest joy in her life was her daughter, Kellie.  Pam enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors include her daughter: Kellie Elizabeth Engels, Austin, ; parents: Paul and Carole Engels, Austin; siblings: Kimberly White (Doug), Lombard, Ill., Cynthia Engels (Paul), Austin, Eric Engels, Amarillo, Texas, Brian Engels (Amie), Westminster, Colo.; nieces and nephews: Derek Sisneros, San Diego, Ciara Engels, Austin., Evan Kuhn, Lombard, Laura White, Lombard; aunts and uncles, cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal and Father Tim Biren officiating.  There will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service on Monday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. and also from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The casketbearers will be Eric Engels, Brian Engels, Evan Kuhn, Paul Matthys, William Hodges and Scott Moldenhauer.
