The United States Census Bureau plans to hire thousands of people in Minnesota for the 2010 census, according to census officials. Interested applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Social Security number and be available to work 20 to 40 hours per week.

Testing begins in Austin and Albert Lea this month.
