Bette R. Peterson, 80
Bette was born May 15, 1928 in Jackson, Minnesota to Delos V. and Edna (Rue) Tostenson.
In 1967 she married Wally Peterson. Bette worked at Austin Medical Center and St. Olaf Hospital Business Offices. Bette enjoyed sewing, quiliting, traveling, dancing and spending the winters in Texas.
Survivors include five children, Gary (Nancy) Peterson, Albert Lea, Mary K. (Steve) Moe, Austin, Patti (Dick) Hanson, North Mankato, Jean (Scott) Hanson, Kasson, Mark (Natalie) Peterson, Amery, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Apryl Brand, Yuma, Ariz. and special friend, Neil Proechel.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Mary.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mayer Funeral Home and the family will also greet friends at a luncheon following the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.
