Packer girls hockey team beats Albert Lea

The Austin girls hockey team got it together in a 4-2 win at Albert Lea Thursday.

The Packers (7-9-3 overall, 4-7-1 Big Nine) got third period goals from Catherine Wagner and Alex Larson to put the Tigers (8-11 overall) away.

“Everything we did wrong against Faribault, we did right tonight,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “We changed our forechecking system and it worked out well.”

Audrey DeVries had 41 saves for Austin and Wagner had two goals and an assist.
