Kenneth Ault

Kenneth Donald Ault, age 96, of LeRoy, Minn., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 at the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center in Grand Meadow, Minn.
Kenneth was born Dec. 8, 1912, in Table Rock, Neb. to Fred and Laura (McLaughlin) Ault. Kenneth along with his parents and brother (LeMoyne) moved to Callendar, Iowa where he attended school. On March 16, 1940, he married Juliet Prestegard. During the early years of their marriage they moved to a farm outside of Chester, Iowa to begin farming. After retiring from farming, they moved to LeRoy at which time Kenneth worked at the LeRoy Creamery before going to work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., retiring in 1977.
Kenneth was a member of the LeRoy Lutheran Church where he served on many boards and committees. He loved working on his hobbies of woodworking, growing roses and painting scenes. Kenneth had a great love for his church and his family. He cherished and loved the time he spent with his wife, Juliet, and the rest of the family.
He is survived by his wife: Juliet of the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center; son: Roger (Eleanor) Ault, Lake In The Hills, Ill.; grandsons: Mark (Grace) Ault, Galena, Ill., and Jon (Chris) Ault, Fargo, N.D., and great grandchildren: Megan Ault, Nicole Ault, Alison Ault, and Erik Ault; one sister-in-law: Clara Prestegard of Riceville, Iowa, and one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step mother Ruth, a sister Mary, a brother LeMoyne, and sister-in-law Iona Ault.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, 2008 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in the Ostrander Cemetery, Ostrander, Minn. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
The family requests memorials are made to the LeRoy Lutheran Church or the ELCA World Hunger Appeal.
