The Austin Youth Basketball will hold its annual girls basketball tournament Saturday and Sunday in Austin.

Games will be at Austin High School, Ellis Middle School and at Pacelli High School. On Saturday, teams in the fourth, sixth and eighth grades will compete and on Sunday, the fifth and seventh grade teams will compete. The first game will start at 8 a.m. at all three locations and games will run until about 2:30 p.m.

Austin Youth Basketball is an independent non profit corporation devoted to the promotion of the sport of basketball for girls and boys in grades 4-8. Community volunteers make up the Board of Directors, which meets monthly. The purpose of Austin Youth Basketball is to stress the teaching of basic fundamentals, player improvement, and sportsmanship while striving to attain a highly competitive and safe level of play.
