The Austin girls hockey team skated to a 5-5 tie at the Sartell Tournament Saturday.
The Packers, who placed second on the weekend, held a shots on goal advantage against Sartell 40 to 30 and used a three-goal second period to keep the contest close.
Jessica Nkhata, Ashley Arhart and Kirsten Stanek all scored one goal each for Austin, while Catherine Wagner found the net twice.
In goal for the Packers, Audrey DeVries had 25 saves.
“We came out of there pretty good,” said Austin head coach Denny Bray. “That’s hockey country up there, and I thought our girls played very good hockey. We’re pretty excited. It was a good tournament.”
