Wayne Morehouse

Wayne R. Morehouse, 67, of Mora, Minn. died on Nov. 6, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. after a year long battle with cancer.
Wayne was born July 2, 1941 in Mora to Melchor and Martha (Ripka) Morehouse. On Feb. 8, 1964 he married Peggy Miller in Austin. They later divorced.
Wayne held many jobs over his lifetime, from cook, cab driver, limo driver, restaurant owner, liquor store operator and bartender. He was not afraid to try anything new. Wayne lived in Phoenix during the winter months, and in Mora in the summer months. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his children: Pamela Morehouse, Aloha, Ore., Jeffery (Sheila) Morehouse, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; mother, Martha Morehouse, Austin; siblings: Janet (James) Seiver, Rochester, Michael Morehouse, Austin, Nancy (Terry) Lafin, Columbia, Md., Thomas (Dawn) Morehouse, Austin, Mark (Jan) Morehouse, Aylett, Va., Scott Morehouse (Linda), St. Cloud, JoAnne (Gene) Jiracek, Oakdale, Minn., Mary (Joe) Lukens, Harrisburg, Pa., Susan (Doug) Demoss, Austin, Diane (Keith) Unruh, Owatonna, Stephen Morehouse, Hayfield.
He is preceded in death by his father, Melchor Morehouse and brother, James Morehouse.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. The family will greet friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday evening at 1917 Seventh Ave. S.E. Austin and also a half-hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
