Hy-Vee will honor America’s veterans on Veterans Day with a free breakfast in appreciation of their service to the country.

“We hope this small token of appreciation will convey our deep appreciation for the sacrifices the men and women of our armed forces make to defend our freedom,” said Jon Wendel, vice president of marketing.

The breakfast will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 7 to 11 a.m. at all Hy-Vee supermarkets with in-store dining services, including Austin.

The buffet is complimentary for veterans, but open to others at a small cost. All community members are encouraged to stop by and express their gratitude to their local veterans.
