Marjorie Nash

The memorial service for Marjorie June Nash of Austin will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. Glenn Monson will officiate. Friends may visit with family one hour before service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Marjorie died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at the Austin Medical Center, Austin. She was 81 years old.
Marjorie was born in Lerdal on Nov. 23, 1926, the daughter of Charles K. and Irma K. (Johnson) Wangen. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1943 and later from Minneapolis Business College. She was married to Garland E. Nash. Marjorie had been lived in Albert Lea until moving to Austin in 1953. Marjorie was a member of the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Austin. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting and traveling. She was an avid Gopher Football Fan and loved attending their games. She also loved watching her nieces and nephews in their many activities.
Marjorie is survived by her children: Craig Steven Nash of Austin and Jori Lynn Nash also of Austin; sister, Bev Moen of Albert Lea; niece and nephew, Marti (James) Lillesve of Plymouth, Michael (Julie) Moen of New Richland; great nieces and nephews: Tami (Matt) Bryan of Savage, Tony Lillesve of Plymouth, Joshua, Alex and Adam Moen of New Richland.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Garland E. Nash; parents and brother-in-law, Cleon Moen.
Marjorie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as being the first to offer a helping hand. She always put others first. Blessed be her memory.
