US. Senate candidate Al Franken (DFL) will be bringing his campaign to Austin on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Mower County DFL headquarters office (the labor center) at 316 Fourth Ave. Northeast, across from the public library. The meet and greet is scheduled from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.
Franken, who is running in Minnesota against Republican candidate Norm Coleman and Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley, will be talking about what he’ll do in Washington, if elected, to restore the middle class and fight for Minnesota families. He will also be joined by a few guests. This is Franken’s second visit to Austin over the campaign season, as he was here in March for the Mower County Caucus. Franken’s wife, Franni, and daughter, Thomasin, have also been to Austin over the past year to different DFL events.
The event is free and open to the public.
