ELKTON – A rural Elkton farmer shot a neighbor’s dogs who attacked turkeys on his property.

According to a Mower County Sheriff’s Office report, the incident was reported 11:30 p.m. Saturday along 630th Avenue near Elkton.

One of the attacking dogs was shot and killed and another one wounded, according to the report.
