Gertrude L. Hansen, 78
Gertrude Lucille Hansen, 78, of Rose Creek died on Aug. 30, 2008 at Fieldcrest Nursing Home in Hayfield, Minn.
She was born June 16, 1930 in Brownsdale, Minn., to Alfred and Mabel (Moyer) Hensel. She attended Austin High School and was married to Manford Hansen on Jan. 23, 1953 at Northwood, Iowa. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Gertrude was a housewife and mother and was the owner of Gert’s Upholstery. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, plastic canvassing, fishing, camping, reading and solving puzzles.
 Gertrude is survived by her husband, Manford Hansen, Rose Creek, Minn.; son, Craig (Andie) Hansen, Bloomington, Minn.; daughter, Paulette Hansen and Billy Wright, Austin; brother, Kenneth (Vivian) Hensel, Faribault, Minn.; sister, Laurella (David) Clinnin, Easton, Minn.; special friends, Art, Brenda, Justin and Christopher McNichols, Rose Creek, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Walter and Roger Hensel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Clasen-Jordan Chapel with the Reverend Norman Wahl officiating. Interment will be in the Enterprise Cemetery, Rose Creek. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 1:30 p.m. Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
Honorary bearers will be John Jacob, Aaron Hanson, Colten Wright, Justin McNichols, Christopher McNichols, Art McNichols and Craig Hansen.
