Cletta E. Geary, 84
Cletta Estelle Geary, 84, of Austin died on July 29, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital.
She was born Oct. 25, 1923 in Neligh, Neb., to Charles and Hazel (Johnson) Geary.
Cletta was a former restaurant owner and interior painter and designer. She then went to work for Physician Mutual Insurance as a sales person in South Dakota where she gained numerous top sales person awards and trips to Hawaii. She moved to the Austin area where she was a member of the First Congregational Church and former member of the League of Women Voters.
Cletta had many hobbies, including photography, traveling, collecting dolls and rocks and most of all gardening. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cletta is survived by her son, Lowell E. Steinbach, Dexter, Minn.; daughter, Doni Ray and Ivan Ray Lacey, Canon City, Colo.; grandchildren, Scott A. Wesely, Todd and Marna Lacey, Amber and Rod Eichorn, Justin and Crystal Steinbach; three great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brody Steinbach and Trevor Lacey; brothers, Gale Geary, Texas; sister, Joann Hatt, Sioux Falls, S.D.; brother, Willard Geary, Norfolk, Neb.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at First Congregational Church with the Reverend Lev Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be at First Congregational Church on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The organist will be Ernie Murphy. Casket Bearers will be Justin Steinbach, Steve Hatt, Dave Hatt and Dewayne Vogel with honorary bearer will be Lowell Steinbach.
