Wilfred Breitbarth, 69, of Elkton died July 3, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he had been a patient since April 1.
Wilfred was born Oct. 15, 1938 in Truman, Minn. to Harvey and Mathilda Jablinski Breitbarth.
On Nov. 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Carol Gansen in Rochester. She died in December 1988. He was later married to Margaret Wiersma Dec. 11, 1993 in Bear Creek. He worked for Marigold Foods for more than 35 years and enjoyed gardening and his hobby farm.
He is survived by his wife: Margaret of Elkton; three children: Sandra (Tim) Fenton, Grand Meadow; Daniel Breitbarth, Dexter; and Lynn (Antony) Lillie, Wanamingo, Minn.; two stepchildren: Janice (Rick) Christianson, Spring Valley, Minn.; and Leslie Rudlong, Byron, Minn.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Wilfred Breitbarth will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bear Creek Lutheran Church in rural Grand Meadow with the Rev. Glen Bickford officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church.
