Paul Postlethwaite

Paul E. Postlethwaite, age 73 of Blooming Prairie, Minn., died at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie Thursday morning, July 10, 2008.
Paul was born Dec. 14, 1934 to C. Gayton and Althea (Fletcher) Postlethwaite in Troy, N.Y. He grew up in the Buffalo, N.Y. area and moved to Minnesota where he lived for a few years before making his home in Melbourne, Fla. for 22 years. He returned to Minnesota in 2005, residing in Blooming Prairie.
A locksmith by trade, Paul was a member of the Quaker faith. He enjoyed recording CDs, collecting electronics and always loved to tell jokes.
Survivors include two daughters: Lisa (Paul) Vacek, Ellendale, Minn.; Carol (Brian Timm) Postlethwaite, Chanhassen, Minn.; his loving dog: Myles Caine Vacek; two grandchildren: Jade and Autumn Vacek; one sister: Joan Longcope, Westminster, Mass.; cousin: Kathy Ford of Denver, Colo. and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Jim Longcope.
A Quaker service will be held at a later date. Interment is at Orchard Park Quaker Meeting House Cemetery in New York. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
