Paul Allen Isachsen, age 52, of Austin, formerly of Willmar, Minn., died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at his home.
Paul was born Sept. 14, 1955, in Ellendale, N.D., the son of Clifford and Irene (Kunde) Isachsen. In 1957, his family moved to Willmar and he graduated from Willmar High School in 1973. He played drums in several bands in the Willmar area. In the early 1990s, he moved to Austin and had worked at the Austin YMCA for the past several years.
He is survived by his parents: Clifford and Irene Isachsen, Willmar, Minn.; a brother: Terry Isachsen, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; a sister: Carla (and Tom) Kukkonen, Lakeville, Minn.; his niece and nephew: Sara and Zach Kukkonen; and many friends.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar with Rev. Barbara Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and Worlein Funeral Home in Austin.
