The Karl Potach Foundation will sponsor a free youth golf clinic Sunday, Aug. 17.

Jon Chaffee, a senior touring professional, and Conrad Ray, Stanford University men’s golf coach, will conduct the free instructional clinic.

Boys and girls of all ages through high school and of all abilities are invited to participate.

The youths are asked to b ring a club (or clubs) with them for the clinic.

There will be free ice cream for the participants courtesy of Greg Johnson and the Austin A&W Pointe.

Ray was also named the 2007 NCAA Men’s Golf Coach of the Year, when he coached the 2007 NCAA men’s golf champions.

The clinic begins 7 p.m. Aug. 17 at Austin Country Club.

On Monday, Aug. 18, the 2008 Karl Potach Foundation will sponsor its annual memorial golf outing and fundraiser also at Austin Country Club.
