Walter Francis Felty, 78, of Brownsdale, Minn. died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield.
Walter was born on April 1, 1930, in Wells, Minn., the son of Russell and Hattie (Blake) Felty. Walter attended rural Waltham School District 126, and attended high school in Austin, Minn. Walter was united in marriage to Marlys Fisher on March 11, 1956 in Owatonna, Minn. Walter was a farmer and enjoyed farm life. He delivered cement trucks all over the United States for McNeilus Trucking, drove truck for Persingers Equipment in Austin and delivered LP Gas for Nelson Gas in Hayfield. Walter was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brownsdale and served as a Trustee.
Walter is survived by his wife, Marlys Felty, Brownsdale, Minn.; one daughter: Diane (Daniel) Francis, Owatonna, Minn.; one son: David Felty, Farmington, Minn.; five grandchildren, four great -grandchildren; and one brother: Lynn (Jean) Felty, Hayfield, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jimmy Felty; and one brother, Erwin Felty.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Brownsdale, Minn. with the Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. Interment will be in Waltham Township Cemetery in rural Waltham, Minn.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, Minn., and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
