Loretta Mithuen

Loretta Charlotte Mithuen, 86, of Austin died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921 in Mankato, Minn., to Charles and Lora (Watts) Mutch. Loretta graduated from the Mankato High School and was married to Irvin T. Mithuen on Nov. 17, 1942 in Denver, Colo. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Raymond Anderson in Austin for many years and later was employed as a teacher’s aide at Austin High School. Loretta was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin in 1992 and brothers Robert and Gordon Mutch.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2008 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with the Reverend Glenn Monson officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church for one hour before the service on Friday. The family prefers memorials. Casket Bearers will be John Mithuen, Joe Mithuen, Jeremy Stern, Tucker Mithuen, Eugene Stern, Allan Feuerhak. Honorary bearers will be Bronwyn Mithuen, Logan Mithuen, Mark Mithuen, Matthew Mithuen. The organist will be Ruth Monson with soloist will be Erin Schumacher.
