Leone Ulwelling

Leone Mary Ulwelling, 79 of Adams died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Adams Health Care Center.

She was born July 29, 1928 in Adams, Minn., to Fred and Agnes (Hartogh) Kramer. Leone married Paul Ulwelling on May 24, 1949 in Adams. Leone was a member of many organizations over the years, but she was particularly proud of her involvement in Birth Right, the DAC, of which she was a founding member, and 55 Alive, where she taught classes. In her spare time, she enjoyed stamping, making cards, decorating, flowers and organizing groups to do activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Harold.

Leone is survived by her spouse, Paul Ulwelling, Adams, Minn.; daughter, Victoria (Paul) Blum, Minneapolis, Minn.; son, Joseph (Sandra) Ulwelling, Plainview, Minn.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson, Luka; sister, Lyda (Harold) Mandler, Austin; brother, Gerald (Elaine) Kramer, Adams; Ruth Kramer, Adams; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Adams. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be for one hour before the service at the church. Casket bearers will be Joe Blum, Tom Blum, Sarah Blum, Lisa Blum, Amy Ulwelling and Callie Ulwelling. The organist will be Helen King with soloist Joseph Ulwelling.
