The LeRoy Old Time Summerfest got under way Thursday with a variety show and the crowning of the first-ever Miss LeRoy.

The two contestants, Andrea Jennings and Hannah Miller, tied for the title of Miss LeRoy. Both read their essays about the importance of Wildwood Grove in the community at the pageant.

Today the events continue with a Pool Benefit Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. at South Park. At 7 p.m. an All-Age Dance will begin at the park. Bingo will also begin at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center.
