Wesley "Bill" Glynn, 92

Wesley James "Bill" Glynn, 92, of Austin, died Thursday afternoon, June 5, 2003, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.

He was born Aug. 7, 1910, to James and Addie (Goodsell) Glynn in Sumner, Township, Fillmore County. He married Eleanor Christensen on Sept. 24, 1939, in Lakefield. Bill worked at Hormel Foods for 36 years. A member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, he also belonged to the Mower County Humane Society.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Glynn, Austin; sons, Greg Glynn, Burnsville; John (Kathy) Glynn, Ellendale; one grandson; sisters-in-law, Alveen Glynn, Grand Meadow; Inez Glynn, Aitkin; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and at the church one hour before the service on Monday.

Service: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. Roberta Flood officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.

Lola "Shirley" Tiegen, 82

Lola "Shirley" Tiegen, 82, of Austin, died Friday morning, June 6, 2003, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

She was born Aug. 16, 1920, to Bert and Ruth (Morrey) Watkins in Solana Beach, Calif. She attended country school and became an employee of Hormel Foods. She married Adry Tiegen on June 28, 1942, in Oceanside, Calif. They made their home in Austin where they belonged to Crane Community Chapel. In March of 2001, she moved to Sacred Heart Care Center.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Ray) Ellis, Dexter, and Pam Severson, Austin; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Doris (Dutch) Shanholtz, Queensland, Australia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adry; five brothers and sisters.

Visitation: One hour before the service Monday, June 9, 2003, at the funeral home.

Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Interment: Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery, rural Austin.

Peter Bernard Stundahl, 89

Peter Bernard Stundahl, 89, of Austin, died at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie Thursday, June 5, 2003.

He was born June 29, 1913, to Peder and Bertha (Anderson) Stundahl in Riceland Township, Freeborn County. Living in the Geneva, Oakland and Moscow area, he was baptized and confirmed at Oakland Lutheran Church and attended Sumner School in Austin. He also lived in St. Paul where he married Betty Jean Carlson on June 28, 1947. They lived in Austin for about 25 years. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad, retiring around 1982. He enjoyed card games, such as Whist, 500, Huckley Buck and Cribbage and also liked to fish and ride the mower.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Robert Carlson and sister-in-law, Mamie Stundahl, both of Austin, as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Oakland Lutheran Church with Rev. LaDonna Ekern officiating.

Emma Wells, 81

Emma Wells, 81, formerly of Charles City, Iowa, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at her home in Austin.

She was born March 6, 1922, in Bremer County, to Elmer and Lois (Phelps) Joslin. She attended school in Bremer County. On Jan. 10, 1963, she married John Wells in Charles City. The couple lived in Riceville until the mid-1960s when they moved to Charles City. She was a member of Faith Bible Chapel. She enjoyed soap operas, fishing, bingo and was excellent at sewing and tatting. She loved her pets.

Survivors include her son Jerry Keilsmeier, Waseca; caretaker, Kathleen Schuna, Austin; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Cathy Dull, Fairbault, and Connie Kielsmeier, Austin; and one sister-in-law, Jennie Boggess, Mason City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one daughter, Barb Swancutt.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. A.C. Wegner, pastor of Faith Bible Chapel, officiating.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
