Douglas K. Schnebly, 51

Douglas Kenneth Schnebly, 51, of Faribault, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at his home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1952, in Albert Lea, to Bill and Ruth (Madson) Schnebly. He attended Albert Lea High School and Faribault Technical College.

On June 17, 1972, he married Mary Ellen Billadeau at the Little Brown Church.

Douglas was a machinist and worked at McQuay's in Faribault for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Schnebly, Faribault; daughter, Amie (Kevin) Wunderlich, Andover; son, Jason Schnebly, Andover; two grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Al) Oppegard, Las Vegas, Nev.; Steve (Toni) Schnebly, Long Lake; Ruth Ann Weiler, Maple Grove; Bill (Cheryl) Schnebly, Champlin; Robert Schnebly, Washington State.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the funeral home and Thursday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault with the Rev. Richard L. Jorgensen officiating.

Interment: Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle.

Carl E. A. Abrahams, 84

Carl Emil Arthur Abrahams, 84, of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Infinia, Owatonna.

He was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Taylor, N.D., to John and Elisa (Reins) Abrahams.

In 1935, he began work for the Civilian Conservation Corps for two years, after which he returned to the Owatonna area and worked for Hormel Foods. He then worked as a farm hand in the Owatonna, Brownsdale and Austin areas.

On March 7, 1945, he married Dorene Behne at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna.

After working as a farm hand, Carl purchased equipment and did feed grinding for local farmers. He then worked for OTC for five years until his retirement in 1983.

Carl enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool. He loved the outdoors and went on the Frog Run fishing trip at Lake Miltona every year in the fall. In his later years, he enjoyed coffee each morning at HyVee.

Survivors include daughters, Diane (Stan) Harrison, Clear Lake, Iowa; Carol (Chuck) Hallanger, Peoria, Ariz.; Cindy (Larry) Bruce, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; sons, Dale (Mary) Abrahams, Owatonna, Minn.; Dennis (Dianne) Abrahams, Houston, Texas; Darrell Abrahams, Owatonna, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Strong, Belgrade, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his wife on July 10, 1998, his parents, one infant son, seven brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2003, at the funeral home and Friday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Kallio officiating.

Interment: Owatonna Memorial Gardens, Owatonna.

Funeral Home: Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
