A man reported missing earlier this week has safely returned.

Veryl C. Lord, 49 of Austin, was reported home again Thursday, according to the Austin Police Department.

However, the details of Lord's return were not known.

The man, whom a caregiver and police described as a vulnerable adult, was reported missing Tuesday night.

He was last seen at Austin Medical Center's emergency room, where he attempted to admit himself.

On Wednesday morning, an employee of the Austin YMCA reported discovering a briefcase and laundry bag belonging to Lord along Interstate 90. The items were turned over to police who verified Lord owned them.

At the time he was listed as a missing person, police said Lord had indicated he wanted to go to the regional treatment center at St. Peter.
