Free series on aging to begin

A four week series for adult children and their senior parents on a variety of issues related to aging begins Monday night.
"Aging Together" will be held at the Senior Center, 400 Third Ave. NE, Austin. Sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Mondays.
Registration is preferred by calling the Mower County Senior Advocacy Office at 433-3462, but walk-ins are welcome.
The topics include:
n Feb. 3: Community resources, home care services, and how to recognize and cope with the stages of aging
n Feb. 10: Elder law issues, Social Security, fraud, and aging care issues
n Feb. 17: Health care directives, prescription drug programs, Medical Assistance, and grief
n Feb. 24: Medical concerns from a doctor's perspective, funeral planning, and the hospice program.
