Playing at home was not as remedial as the Riverland women's basketball team had hoped as the Lady Blue Devils dropped to 2-9 overall with two home losses over the weekend.

Riverland lost its fourth and fifth consecutive games in non-conference defeats handed down by Madison Area Technical College and Iowa Lakes Community College. The Lady Devils begin Minnesota Community College Conference Southern Division play Wednesday night at Minnesota West in Worthington at 6 p.m. The Riverland women are 0-6 in road games this year.

Sophomore point guard Tanya Jensen led the Blue Devils with 14 points in Saturday's 57-55 loss to MATC, while Jenny Schnaufer chipped in with 13. Schnaufer led Riverland with 14 points in Sunday's 69-52 loss to Iowa Lakes. Steph Vollbrecht added 10 in Sunday's defeat.
