Goodhue girls get by Southland

The combination of costly mental errors and a lack-luster first-quarter showing proved to be too much for the Southland girls' basketball team as they fell to visiting Goodhue 47-36 at home.

Carrie Shawback led the Rebels in scoring with 12 points, while teammates Amanda Landherr and Nicole Kirkpatrick both had nine points in the game. Amy Walerak shot for three points before fouling out in the contest. Bridget Felten added one point off a free-throw.

Two Goodhue players scored in double-digits on the night. Michelle Roschen led Goodhue with 14 points and teammate Jennifer Gadient hit for 10 points.
