Allan Kuhlmann, 73

Allan "Pete" Kuhlmann, 73, of rural Sargeant, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.

He was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Carpenter, Iowa, to Hans and Cora (Carlsgaurd) Kuhlmann.

On April 29, 1950, he married Jean Holst at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.

Pete farmed all his life and also worked for Golden Dairy, Midwest Breeders Association and Lyle, Oakland and London grain elevators. He was a member of Dexter United Methodist Church.

Survivors include wife, Jean; sons, Bucky Kuhlmann, LeRoy; Peter (Vicki) Kuhlmann, Rose Creek; two grandchildren; brothers, James (Audrey) Kuhlmann, Hokah; Howard (Jean) Kuhlmann, Arvada, Colo.; Jay (Evelyn) Kuhlmann, Cedar Falls, Iowa; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at the funeral home and Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 1:30 Saturday at Dexter United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Strunk officiating.

Interment: Dexter Cemetery.
