Spruce Up Austin, Inc. will hold a tree planting project Wednesday at Austin Community Park.

Nineteen past and present veteran members of the organization will be honored. Each of the board members, who has served the organization with distinction, will have a tree planted in their honor near Veterans Pavilion in Austin Community Park.

After the tree planting, there will be a picnic hosted by SUA, Inc. for the guests.

The tree plantings begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday with the picnic following.

Each current SUA, Inc. board member is asked to bring a dish to share. Beverage, plates and utensils will be furnished.
