For the third straight week Lyle/Pacelli surrendered 49 points and consequently fell to 0-3 after Friday's 49-7 loss to eighth-rated Nicollet in Lyle.

And despite all the improvements L/P has made, the team's schedule may continue to hold it back. LeRoy-Ostrander hosts L/P this week in Southern Confederacy Conference action.

Kellen Blaser again accounted for Lyle/Pacelli's only touchdown, scoring on a 47-yard run midway through the fourth quarter. Newcomer Mario Cisneros tallied the extra-point kick, but L/P's seven points seemed meaningless against Nicollet's 49.

The Raiders (3-0) racked up 313 rushing yards and 371 total, all while limiting Lyle/Pacelli to 73 total yards. Nicollet was without leading rusher Tony Hulke, but the Raiders were able to rack up the yardage despite his absence. Paul Nourie led all players with 13 carries for 101 yards and one touchdown.

Blaser's 47-yard touchdown run accounted for nearly all of his 48 total rushing yards. Ben Boyd's interception in the fourth quarter highlighted the defensive effort.

L/P's leading rusher Chris Bergstrom got just 19 yards on 16 attempts.

Nicollet scored 26 points in the first quarter and led 36-0 at the half.
