The LeRoy-Ostrander football team stayed on the road for the second week of the season, stomping out a 55-6 Southern Confederacy Conferenec victory over host Glenville-Emmons Friday night.

The Cardinals (2-0) did not need to play their starters through the first half, getting out to a 55-0 lead before the break. Ben Adams rushed just six times for 63 yards and two touchdowns all in the first quarter, and LeRoy-Ostrander rattled off 35 points in the second period alone.

Adams and Jacob Rowe each returned interceptions for touchdowns from 29 and 28 yards, respectively, to give the Cardinals a 41-0 lead with nearly nine minutes remaining in the first half.

Eric Nelson also rushed for a touchdown for the Cardinals, and Chad Orum was 5-for-6 on extra-point kicks.

LeRoy-Ostrander did not score in the second half, and Glenville-Emmons (0-2) tallied its only touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. The Wolverines accumulated just 51 yards of total offense against L-O's total of 223.
